About:

Some shots of the interior design artwork carried out in the historic hostel located in Campo Imperatore - Gransasso Laga National Park, commissioned by the current manager in view of the opening of the ski facilities for the winter season 2022.

The concept expresses the desire to represent the nature of the territory in which it is located, giving the user the feeling of being inside birch woods, and near the ski resorts around which to practice ski mountaineering and off-piste, in perfect harmony with the needs imposed by the National Park Authority and with the breathtaking landscape beauty that the place enjoys and which, in addition to the altitude of 2115m above sea level, determines its added value.

The pictorial intervention is between street art and interior decoration, a choice due to the particular condition of the accommodation, historicized and immersed in the National Park and therefore and which therefore does not lend itself, in my opinion, to more invasive street art interventions. The technique used is brushes and acrylic paints. The conditions in which the intervention was carried out were extreme due to the short time available and to a week of storm that led to accumulations of snow of up to 10 meters in some points and such as to freeze and split the electrical cables that power the ski resort and the hotel itself.

This involved the creation of the work at an ambient temperature of about -8 centigrade degrees and for most of the time without the aid of electricity, thus painting in absence of light. For the short time available, there was no way to create sketches of the visual concepts so I worked in total freestyle only helped by some photographic references.

Extreme conditions directly proportional to the fascination that Campo Imperatore has on me. A unique experience in a magical place! Big up, guyz !!
